Get the day going the right way!

It’s 6:00 am, and your alarm goes off. What happens next?

What you do from here can make or break your entire day!

For a lot of us, the idea of a morning routine feels comforting.

You do everything in a specific order, and it just feels right.

You know how long it takes to shower, have breakfast, maybe even watch a little bit of the morning news or check your social media feed before leaving for the day. Heck, you even know how long it takes to get to work, which means you’ve got your exit time planned out as well.

But what if you don’t have a routine?

You wake up eventually, after hitting snooze 3-5 times. Now you’re toast. Oh wait, you’re not toast at all – because now you don’t have time to make any.

Now you don’t have time to shower or even take a second to just breathe before you leave the house. By the way, it’s 8 minutes until your shift begins (knowing perfectly well your commute is 15 minutes and you’re going to be late again).

There are many things you could do differently to make your mornings a little bit easier.

For example, setting your alarm 30 minutes earlier (and getting to bed earlier, too) can make a huge difference in your day. It doesn’t seem like a lot of extra time, but you’d be amazed at how much you can accomplish with it.

You can even set the tone for the day by prepping as much as possible ahead of time.

That’s laying out your clothes.

Making a grab-and-go breakfast like overnight oats, premade and frozen breakfast burritos, pancakes, or waffles that you can just toss into the microwave or toaster as needed.

Funny how planning ahead just makes everything better, isn’t it?

Getting an early start on big-impact money moves (like retirement planning and investing) is a great way to set the tone for a good future as well.
